As an ROA member in good standing, you can now qualify for this ROA Member benefit. ROA Senior Term Life is designed for Members ages 50-74 (for ROA spouses1 age 45-74). The Senior Term Life plan offers coverage amounts between $10,000.00 and $50,000.00. With no medical exam required, the ROA Senior Term Life plan may be right for you.

*You will be billed just four times a year. If applicable, an additional $2.00 billing fee will be included on your billing notice payable to the administrator. To save the fee, select Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) as a safe and secure payment option. Coverage begins on the first day of the month following approval by the Insurer and payment of first premium. Coverage continues with no decrease in benefits until you reach age 75. At age 75, benefits reduce to 50%. At age 80, benefits reduce to 25% of original face value. At age 85 and after, benefits will be $2,500.00. Coverage cannot be canceled as long as you remain a Member of ROA, pay your premiums when due and the group contract remains in effect.


ROA Members' Spouses¹ ONLY can apply for coverage starting at age 45 (through age 74). ROA members can apply for coverage starting at age 50 (through age 74).

  • Can my spouse¹ obtain separate coverage?

    Yes, a spouse1 can obtain separate coverage.
  • Do I have to take a medical exam, blood test, etc.?

    No! Fill out the Simplified Application Form to apply for up to $50,000.00 in coverage without submitting to a full medical exam or providing blood work.
  • How long does the application process take? When will my coverage become effective?

    The application process depends on many factors: the number of persons to be insured, their ages, the amount of coverage for which you apply, your medical history and that of your family members (if requesting dependent coverage), and the type of coverage requested.
  • Who is AMBA?

    AMBA is the company contracted to manage the Group Insurance Program. AMBA is not affiliated with the insurance companies that underwrite each plan.
  • Who is the current insurance carrier and what is its rating?

    ReliaStar Life Insurance Company is the insurance carrier for the ROA Senior Term Life Plan. ReliaStar Life is rated A Excellent by A.M. Best. This is the third highest of 15 ratings. A.M. Best company assigns ratings from A++ to F based on a company's financial strength and ability to meet obligations to contract holders.

The group life insurance policy is issued by ReliaStar Life Insurance Company, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The policy is powered on behalf of ReliaStar Life Insurance Company by AMBA, an insurance manager licensed in the state of North Dakota. Policy form LP08GP.
